Lead-Based Paint Disclosure Notice

For Residential Properties Built Before 1978

Some residential properties managed or listed by Ideal Property Management were built before 1978 and may contain lead-based paint or lead-based paint hazards.

Lead exposure can cause serious health problems, especially for young children and pregnant women. Deteriorating paint, paint chips, and household dust are common sources of lead exposure.

In accordance with federal law:

• Tenants and buyers of pre-1978 housing will receive a Lead-Based Paint Disclosure Form before signing a lease or purchase agreement.
• Tenants and buyers will also receive the EPA pamphlet:
  “Protect Your Family From Lead in Your Home.”
• Any known information or reports regarding lead-based paint or lead hazards will be provided when available.
